DCM

Department of Comparative Medicine
The Department of Comparative Medicine (DCM) has seven centralized facilities comprising over 52,000 sq. ft of animal housing and service areas. Three of these facilities (K-Wing, T-Wing and Sixth Floor) are located within the Magnuson Health Sciences Center (HSC). The Center for Human Development and Disability (CHDD) is one block away. Roosevelt is one mile from the main facility (HSC). Harborview Research and Training is 5 miles away. The Brotman facility is 2.5 miles away at South Lake Union campus. DCM keeps approximately 100,000 mice, 1,900 rats as well as a variety of larger species such as pigs and dogs.
